Kelly-Marie Barker LIDTA – Principal

<Click to enlarge> Kelly-Marie started dancing at the age of 4. When she was 8 years old, she joined Dots School of Dancing in Stoke-on-Trent and took IDTA medal tests in Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle. She then began Modern Theatre, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary and went on to do A-Level Dance. At 18 she moved to Coventry where she studied under Alan Wade for her Freestyle Associate which she passed with 96% and was nominated for the John Dilworth Scholarship. She has since completed her Ballroom Associate, Freestyle Licentiate and Line Dancing Associate and Licentiate. She is currently studying for her Latin Licentiate. She has also passed the IDTA Educational Professional Award and has taught GCSE Dance with excellent results. Kelly-Marie now hopes to pursue lecturing and writing articles for dance magazines.
Kelly-Marie founded Inspire School of Dance, in 2002, with the aim to make dance accessible to all. She believes that through good quality teaching, a friendly atmosphere and approachable, flexible teachers she can make this happen.
Jennifer Stockwell – IDTA Student

Jenny started dancing at Catshill Dance Centre when she was just 4 years old studying Latin, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Freestyle and Ballroom. She first started teaching when she was 14 years old and took her first student teaching exam in Latin in 2003 achieving highly commended. Later that year she took her Rock ‘n’ Roll student teaching exam again obtaining Highly Commended. Jenny is currently studying for her Freestyle student teaching qualification.
Jenny moved to Coventry, from Bromsgrove, in 2006 when she started a masters degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Warwick. She then joined Inspire School of Dance where she is continuing with her student medal tests, teaching Rock ‘n’ Roll and assisting with the teaching of the younger dancers. We are very lucky to have someone with Jenny’s dance experience at Inspire School of Dance.
