I started dancing at the age of 4. When I was 8 years old, I joined Dot’s School of Dancing in Stoke-on-Trent where I was introduced to Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle. I took IDTA medal tests and soon realised that dance meant everything to me. I then joined another dance school to study more dance styles Modern Theatre, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary and went on to do A-Level Dance. At 18 I moved to Coventry where I studied under Alan Wade for my Freestyle Associate which I passed with 96% and was nominated for the John Dilworth Scholarship. I was finally a qualified teacher – my dream had come true. I truly had been bitten by the dancing bug and have since completed my Ballroom Associate, Freestyle Licentiate, Line Dancing Associate and Licentiate and Salsa Diploma. I am currently studying for my Latin Licentiate. I have also passed the IDTA Educational Professional Award and have taught GCSE Dance with excellent results. I now hope to pursue lecturing and writing articles for dance magazines.

I founded Inspire School of Dance, in 2002, with the aim to make dance accessible to all. I believe that through good quality teaching, a friendly atmosphere and an approachable, flexible teacher anybody and everybody should be able to enter into the magic of dance.
